Hi Everyone!

This is my story!

In 2008 I found a dog that was a collie mix. I heard from my neighbor that Rebecca Cannon loved collies. So I called her and she came and decided to keep the dog. She found out I loved horses and the rest was history. From then on, Rebecca taught me how to ride English, post, drive, do showmanship, and pretty much everything else there was to know.

2012 Perry Show - Youth Showmanship

She has taken me to Perry, GA, Raleigh, NC, Louisville, KY, Ohio, and various places for the spring show. I also went with Rebecca to volunteer at Tri-State Therapeutic Riding Center in Cleveland, TN.

This past year in 2012, I won the Jonathan Ayers Memorial Scholarship Award at Perry for sportsmanship. This meant so much to me because I love the Georgia National Draft Horse Show in Perry, Georgia and all the people who put it together year after year!

In the future I plan to own Clydesdales and continue showing and teaching other kids to show also!

My favorite class is English Undersaddle!

2013 GDHA Annual Spring Show UPDATE 03/02/13

RE: Spring Draft horse Show / Georgia Draft Horse Association
Tri-State Exhibition Center, McDonald, TN
April 13, 2013 @ 11:00 am

Dear Exhibitor:

It’s almost time for the 2013 GDHA Annual Spring Show! Are you ready? Be prepared to have some fun because we have a good show sheet this year and something for everyone. Please mark your calendars now!

You can trailer-in or stalls are available. If you’d like to arrive on Friday, you MUST let me know in advance so that you will have a stall(s) available and shavings. Please email at spiritthehorse@hotmail.com.

We will be doing early registration/sign-ins starting 7:00 P.M. so you may pick up your show packet. AND we will be having a Barn Party!/Meet-N-Greet sometime Friday night, so bring some goodies and plan to join us.

We plainly see the economy and still took a big chance by keeping our entry fees REALLY LOW THIS YEAR.

Again, the charge will be PER farm and not per horse. We are counting on everyone loading up their trailers to the max with horses and entering MORE classes!

We have also included a contribution sheet and any donation amount would be most appreciated. If you would like to sponsor a class in memory of someone, just write in what you would like said at the beginning of that class and the announcer will read it.

All DOWNLOADABLE show documents are linked below with information regarding class divisions and special instructions for certain classes. This is not only a fun show, but a learning show, so please read ALL the rules which are pretty much in line with the regular draft horse shows.

The decision to do this was in order for those wanting to attend shows such as Perry, could learn what is expected at that type level show.

I’ve included the Rules and Regulations required by Tri-State which I ask that you read thoroughly and sign as we will be held responsible, individually and as the Georgia Draft Horse Association.

We also ask that you return these along with your entry form in order to confirm you have read and understood what is required during our event. Thanks in advance for your cooperation.

We will be showing in The Bess Neil Memorial Arena, which is covered making this show Rain or Shine, and Non-Refundable.

For more information about Tri-State Exhibition Center, please visit: www.tsec.org and directions are also included on the show sheet.

Again, we have worked very hard this year to allow everyone the opportunity to participate and we hope our efforts will be appreciated and all involved will have a pleasant and safe experience at the show and enjoy the day.
